We fund the operating infrastructureproven medical devices need to scale

Late-stage investment in proven external medical devices, technologies and therapies that already help patients but lack the inventory, fulfillment, distribution and sales to reach everyone who needs them. Where insurance coverage is what unlocks demand, we fund the reimbursement codes too.

Why we invest

Many inventions, devices and therapies are backed early by investors who believe a particular effort will improve the world we live in. Grants and donations carry founders through invention and FDA clearance. Then the device works, patients want it, and the company stalls: no warehouse, no order-to-cash, no customer service, no sales team. Money spent on studies and codes cannot help a company that cannot ship. At that stage, many founders feel abandoned, and many give up.

We fill that gap.

We do it for the patient: less pain, better mobility, more happiness, and a rapid improvement in quality of life, delivered to everyone who needs it.

Our mission. We believe people should take charge of their own health, proactively, with the tools that already exist. Our work is to put those tools in their hands.

Investment thesis

What we look for, and what we do not invest in

What we look for

  • Medical-grade biohacking with immediate, visible and measurable patient impact
  • External medical devices, tools, and technology, not drugs or procedures
  • Diagnostic and screening devices that earn their own code
  • FDA Class I and Class II medical devices
  • Proven demand: cash-pay buyers today, or a clear path to insurance reimbursement
  • Late-stage companies. We deploy $2M to $10M per company

What we do not invest in

  • No surgical procedures
  • No invasive devices
  • No implants
  • No injectables
  • No reactive or nuclear technology
  • No prototypes
Private capital

How we invest

We deploy capital for equity participation, and we invest in people. We do not lend for repayment with interest. Our capital builds the operating base a proven device needs to scale: inventory, fulfillment and logistics, order-to-cash, customer service and a sales team, with operating partners we know. When insurance coverage is what stands between a device and its buyers, and the company can already deliver, we also fund the post-market studies (Phase IV / PMCF) that earn a dedicated HCPCS or CPT reimbursement code. In return, we take an equity-linked position, typically a convertible note or redeemable convertible preferred, and a board seat. We attend two board meetings before we invest. The technology and the numbers are critical, but a team’s character is what we really invest in.

Areas of focus

Quality of life, dignity and autonomy

Longevity, recovery and conditions that affect pain, movement, eating, bathing, sleeping, anxiety and speech, and anything that speeds recovery or shortens a hospital stay. External medical devices (instrument, apparatus, equipment, prosthesis, hardware, wearable, tracker, monitor, sensor, peripheral, and similar), never inside the body.

Neurological & mobility. Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Shingles, partial paralysis, congenital malformation, essential tremor, spasticity, cognitive decline.

Joint & musculoskeletal, the common, everyday things. Bone spurs, rotator cuff, knee pain, ankle pain, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, arthritis impeding dexterity, chronic low back pain and sciatica.

Head & nerve. Migraines, tinnitus, vertigo and balance disorders.

Comfort and tolerability during treatment. Radiation, immunotherapy, dialysis.

Autoimmune & metabolic. Lupus, lipedema, fluoroquinolone toxicity, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, lymphedema, sleep apnea, urinary incontinence.

Wounds & recovery. Chronic and difficult wounds, injury care, anything that speeds healing.

Detection & screening. Devices that find disease earlier and reduce unnecessary follow-up.

Women’s health. Breast screening, uterine fibroids treated without surgery, menstrual and pelvic health.

Longevity and wellness. Medical-grade biohacking for recovery, sleep, pain, calm and healthy aging: red light, PEMF, therapeutic lasers, microcurrent neurofeedback and sensory stimulation. These external devices are cleared, already in patients’ hands and sold cash-pay, yet most of their makers have no commercial engine. They are exactly the companies our operating focus serves, with the same exclusions and the same standard of character.

Secondary area of interest. Other settings for the same devices. Medical devices, diagnostics and therapies for seniors and senior living communities, for correctional health, and for government, defense and diplomatic buyers (GSA contract vehicles). In every case we invest in the device company, never in the property or the facility. The same discipline applies: rigorous research, close assessment of the people behind the product, and a product that is already deployed.

What has to be true

Proven. Patented. FDA-cleared. Management that is knowledgeable, honest, visionary, dedicated, invested, and of solid character. A clean pre-money balance sheet. Demand that already exists. Executives who are humble and respectful. We root for the underdog, and the underdog wins.

Behind this are thirty years of building and operating companies: starting them, running them, turning them around, and structuring deals that would not have closed on their own. That is why we invest in operations: we know what it takes to ship, bill, collect and sell.
